An alternative energy solution that will make a world of difference

The name Hydro-gene (water producer) was first coined in 1787 by the French Chemist Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier from the Greek words hydro (water) and genes (producing). It has the lowest atomic weight and is 16 times lighter than oxygen.

Under normal or standard conditions, hydrogen is a colourless and odourless gas. Hydrogen is non-toxic and is not causing environmental damage – in that respect it is environmentally neutral.

A major advantage of hydrogen is that it can be produced from (surplus) renewable energies, and unlike electricity it can also be stored in large amounts for extended periods of time. For that reason, hydrogen produced on an industrial scale could play an important part in the energy transition. As a chemical energy store, hydrogen could act as means of sector coupling in many integrated energy schemes.

Hydrogen Horizons Limited is registered in the United Kingdom owns the worldwide licence patent (hydrogen storage vessel).

This Patent contains the detailed knowledge using tested technology for the storage and dispense of hydrogen in commercial quantities.

This patented technology uses Porous Metal Hydrides (PMHs) as a method of storing hydrogen.

It has taken many years of research and development by our scientists and chemical engineers to be able to develop new hydrogen storage materials and containment vessels that allow hydrogen to be stored, safely, at low pressures and in commercial quantities.
